Mother of missing soldier: I regret that our numbers increase
“Our nation with its army and veterans managed to bring down Azerbaijan,” said head of the “Council of Relatives of Missed Freedom Fighters” NGO, Rima Arakelyan during a press conference.
According to her, people weren’t expecting whatever happed during these 2-5 days, “We have a weapon, our enemy doesn’t have, our unity”.
Arakelyan noted that since the Artsakh War, there are more than 200 missing persons, and there are 19 since the beginning of these five-day military operations.
Mother of missing soldier of Artsakh War, Samara Grigoryan admitted with pain that she regrets that their numbers increase. Alvard Sahakyan, a widow, said, that they have been waiting for their relatives for 24 years now, and she wouldn’t want for anyone to feel whatever she felt.
“Once they asked my son whether he was waiting for his father to return. He answered if his 75 year old grandfather was still waiting for his father missing since the Great Patriotic War, he doesn’t have a right not to,” Alvard Sahakyan said.
They wished patience to all Armenian parents. They are sure that the united Armenian nation can bring down the enemy.
