Crime Index for Country 2016: Armenia is safer than neighboring Azerbaijan
According to Crime Index for Country 2016 made by Numbeo, the world’s biggest database, it is safer to live in Armenia, than in Azerbaijan. The index is published on Numbeo website
According to the index, the more a country is below in the list, the safer it is. Armenia ranks the 93rd out of 117 countries, while Azerbaijan ranks the 87th.
In Armenia, the safety index is 68.89, and the crime index is 31.11, in Azerbaijan – 67.61 and 32.39 respectively.
The neighboring Georgia’s safety index is 77.84, and the crime index is 22.16. The country ranks the 112th in the rating. Turkey is in the 71st place, and Iran is in the 36th.
Among other CIS countries, Russia is the 50th, Belarus is the 102nd, Kazakhstan – the 56th, Moldova – the 47th, and Ukraine – the 43rd.
The safest countries in the index are South Korea (85.69 – 14.31) and Singapore (84.19 – 15.81), which are in the 117th and 116th positions respectively.
Japan (80.66 - 19.34), Hong Kong (79.15 - 20.85), Taiwan (78.79 - 21.21), Qatar (77.66 - 22.34), the UAE (76.92 - 23.08), Austria (75.94 - 24.06), Estonia (- 75.33 - 24.67) are also among the ten safest countries.
The safety index of Venezuela, which tops the list, is 84.44, and the crime index is 15.56. The worst situation is in South Sudan, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, and Honduras.
