Larisa Alaverdyan: Co-Chairs not fulfilling their duties
“Joining efforts to reinforce the ceasefire is included in the mandate of the Co-Chairs, stated in the corresponding document. This obligation hasn’t been fulfilled,” said Head of “Against Illegal Arbitrariness” NGO, former Ombudsman of Armenia, Larisa Alaverdyan during a press conference.
According to her, no mechanisms are introduced towards reinforcing the ceasefire rejected by Azerbaijan.
In the meantime, Alaverdyan said there are many other mechanisms and organizations, besides the Co-Chairs who we should turn to representing Azerbaijan’s steps.
“We should apply and demand whatever is written in their materials. The international community’s approach could be changed through work,” Alaverdyan stressed.
She didn’t express hope that the agreement to put halt to fire is stronger than the ceasefire agreement signed in May, 1994.
