Yeranos village of Gegharkunik province was greatly pained on April 12 to give a farewell its hero Norik Sargsyan, who fell in Artsakh in the fight against the enemy.  Norik Sargsyan was buried at the cemetery of his Yeranos village with full military and church honors, Gegharkunik province website reports.

Number of local self-government and state representatives, military and numerous resident of Yeranos and nearby communities, his friends and relatives were present at the funeral ceremony. 

As reported, Norik’s body was carried on hands, and his grave was filled with soil by young people, who thus paid their tribute to the hero.

Norik’s father who was deeply touched, thanked the gathered for the consolation.

He then said that everyone is obliged to serve to one’s motherland and protect it in whateverpossible way as his son did.

Norik Sargsyan was posthumously awarded by the Medal for Combat Service by the NKR President Bako Sahakyan.
