Armen Israyelyan: What position Azerbaijan should take caught between its allies
Expert on Iran, Armen Israyelyan, wrote about the latest developments in Istanbul, where the session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is taking place.
“Iranian Foreign Minister is angered by Saudi Arabia’s anti-Iran position.
During the session of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, with the support of its allies, Saudi Arabia suggested the member states to include 4 anti-Iranian points in the joint statement of the presidents, which angered the Foreign Minister of Iran.
The latter warned Saudi Arabia that the initiative serves the interests of Israel, contradicting Islamic solidarity.
Being a close ally to both Saudi Arabia and Israel, it is interesting what position Azerbaijan should adopt concerning this issue.
