Armenak Antinyan: Unemployment remains an issue of public concern
Unemployment and poverty remain an issue of public concern both in Armenia and in Georgia, said director of the Caucasus Research Resource Center-Armenia, Armenak Antinyan representing the results of “Caucasus Barometer – 2015” research.
“41% of surveyed in Armenia and 51% in Georgia reported unemployment a major issue. Yet poverty was rated as such by 17% and 16% respectively,” he stated.
According to data presented by Antinyan, the average happiness rate is 6.5 and 6.6 points respectively, on a scale of 1-10.
Concerning democracy, Armenak Antinyan said that 32% of surveyed in Armenia and 17% in Georgia consider the countries non-democratic.
