NKR Defense Army soldiers wounded
On the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan the operative situation remained the same on the night of April 17-18, reports NKR Defense Army press service.
The adversary opened fire from weapons of different calibres violating the verbal agreement on ceasefire more than 50 times. The Azerbaijani side also applied 82 mm mortars towards north-eastern part of the line (Martakert).
Two Defense Army soldiers, Erik Matevosyan, 1991 and Azat Barsamyan, 1996 were wounded during the offensive operations of the adversary.
Also, the adversary tried to carry out a subversive operation at about 1:00 AM. However, Azerbaijani special forces were detected by Armenian frontline unites and were forced to retreat.
Defense Army frontline units continue controlling the situation on the Line of Contact and confidently carrying out their duties.
