Materials concerning Azerbaijani war crimes distributed in PACE
The spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) launched on April 18 in Strasburg to last until April 22. Members of the Armenian delegation distribute materials concerning war crimes such as murder of elderly people and children, decapitation of a soldier, committed by Azerbaijan during the Four Day War with Nagorno Karabakh. This move angered members of the Azerbaijani delegation.
Member of the Armenian delegation, Naira Zohrabyan told Panorama.am reporter that she also gave these brochures to members of both Turkish and Azerbaijani delegations, including Samar Seyidov who chairs Azerbaijani delegation to PACE.
According to Zorhabyan, Seyidov made a fuss saying that distribution of any information without the knowledge of the Secretariat should be prohibited. Yet the chairman advised not to start a debate.
Zohrabyan also said that members of the Armenian delegation will continue distributing information about war crimes committed by Azerbaijan during the whole session.
To remind, During the PACE Bureau discussion prior to the session it was decided to replace Nagorno Karabakh issue with that of the ‘Panama Papers’ as a topic for current affairs debate.
