Harutyun Khachatryan’s “Deadlock” to premiere in Armenia on April 29
General director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival, Meritorious Artist of the Republic of Armenia and film director Harutyun Khachatryan’s movie, “Deadlock” will premiere in Iran during the Fajr International Film Festival on April 24, and in Armenia in Moscow Cinema on April 29, reports the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival press service.
To remind, the international premiere of the film will take place in Nyon, Switzerland during the Vision du Réel International Film Festival on April 19. Visions du Réel is an internationally renowned documentary film festival held in April each year since 1969. The festival is rather significant for Harutyun Khachatryan.
Khachatryan’s movie “Kond” received Honourable Mention by the Jury at 20th Nyon International Documentary Film Festival in 1988. Later his movie “White Town” received a “Sesterce D’Argent” Award at the same festival in 1989.
“Deadlock” is about Levon, an engineer, who after having obtained a green card for the United States, leaves his homeland to search for a brighter future. Deadlock is the second installment in the five-documentary film series dedicated to the Armenian Diaspora.
