Procedure of targeted support to families of deceased soldiers developed
The procedure of targeted support to families of the deceased soldiers has already been developed, said Minister of Economy of Armenia Artsvik Minasyan during a briefing after the government session on April 21.
According to the Minister, the families of the victims will be involved in income-generating activities.
“It means, that a support mechanism will be presented based on identifying the needs, carrying out the appropriate research and training within small and medium business projects and reveal what kind of income-generating activities these people could be involved in,” the Minister said.
According to Artsvik Minasyan, the support mechanisms vary, starting from technical support in cases when the family lives in a village and needs agricultural equipment for a stable income, to a small permanent business for those living in a city. The Minister noted that a separate plan will be developed for each case.
In the meantime, he said that the programme doesn’t only concern to those who suffered the Four Day War, but also other families of war veterans.
“We ensure that the suggested mechanisms will provide the necessary financial support. We’re going to implement certain programmes through the state budget, meanwhile remaining open for private transfers, including the remittances of the Diaspora,” the Minister said.
He also noted that the important issue is to improve the living conditions of certain families.
