Demonstrators throw away Turkish products as a sign of protest
A group of demonstrators gathered near the Government Building of Armenia on April 21, as a sign of protest against purchasing Turkish products. “Say no to Turkish products. Don’t buy Turkish products. Don’t make the enemy rich,” called the protesters.
“We demand to stop the import and consumption of Turkish products in Armenia. Buying their products, we equip the armies of our enemy states,” said organizer of the protest, Tsovinar Kostanyan.
The protesters brought Turkish products and threw them in the garbage cans, as the policemen didn’t allow them to burn the products in front of the Government Building.
Another demonstrator, Vardan Vardanyan informed that besides Turkish there are also Azerbaijani products in the Armenian market, as an example showing a rake, which had “Baku” inscribed on it.
The protesters handed in a letter written for Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan demanding to stop import and consumption of Turkish products in Armenia.
