Humanitarian leaders of the world arrive in Armenia
Co-Founder of 100 LIVES, President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, Vardan Gregorian arrived in Yerevan, Armenia to participate during the events of Aurora Prize. Vartan Gregorian is also a Selection Committee Member for the Aurora Prize.
Earlier, music legend, philanthropist, Charles Aznavour arrived in Yerevan to be present during the ceremony.
One of Aurora Prize finalists, Catholic Priest, Father Bernard Kinvi is also in Armenia. He is from Central African Republic. After arriving in Yerevan, Father Bernard Kinvi visited Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and Zvartnots Cathedral.
On behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviours, the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity will be granted annually to an individual whose actions have had an exceptional impact on preserving human life and advancing humanitarian causes.
The Aurora Prize Laureate will be honored with a US $100,000 grant. In addition, that individual will have the unique opportunity to continue the cycle of giving by nominating organizations that inspired their work to receive a US $1,000,000 award.
The Aurora Prize will be awarded annually on April 24 in Yerevan, Armenia.
