New details on bus explosion in Yerevan
Advisor to the Chairman of RA Investigative Committee, Sona Truzyan published new details on the bus explosion on Halayan Street, Yerevan.
Truzyan wrote that according to recent data, 10 people including the driver were in the bus 63 (Bogdan) at the time of the explosion. 2 passengers died immediately, 7 were transported to the medical centre with different injuries. One of the injured, Arthur Margaryan, 1994 has been discharged from the hospital receiving corresponding medical treatment. The bus driver didn’t need to be transferred to the hospital.
As informs Truzyan, Hasmik Melkonyan, 1963, Anush Aghikyan, 1979, Harutyun Terzyan, 1971, Edgar Gasparyan, 2002, Anahit Mikayelyan, 2001, Roland Khojayan, 2001 are at “Armenia” Medical Centre.
According to Truzyan, one of the deceased was an Armenian citizen. The experts are working on identifying the other victim.
“The investigation team along with experts continues to work on the scene conducting scene investigations and other urgent operations.
The experts have taken necessary samples and are carrying out expertise to determine the causes of the explosion. The results of the expertise will be clear in the coming hours,” she wrote.
According to her, a number of examinations have been appointed. Investigative measures are undertaken to check the developed working hypothesis.
Truzyan also wrote that an additional statement will be published on the causes of the explosion.
