Davit Harutyunyan: Meaningful proposals by opposition to be included in draft Electoral Code
Some proposals to the draft Electoral Code of Armenian presented at the National Assembly hearing will be considered, Chief of RA Government Staff, the main reporter on the draft document Davit Harutyunyan stated.
Harutyunyan thanked “for the meaningful discussions” and mentioned that notable points were introduced by the opposition PMs which are worth to be included in the draft electoral Code.
In partilucal, Harutyunyan mentioned proposals made by Lyudmila Sargsyan, Alik Arzumanyan, Rubik Hakobyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Tigran Urikhanyan, Levon Zurabyan, Gagik Khangiryan.
Harutyunyan then outlined the proposals, which will certainly be rejected - among them, the idea of regional and territorial parties. He then underlined the necessity for a strict regulation of the fingerprint registration system.
Davit Harutyunyan also dismissed criticism over the claims the presented draft is not considered to be “of proportional system.” Harutyuyan labeled as strange proposals providing a voting right separately for a certain candidate and for a party.
