Komitas, his life to be an example for inspiring the human spirit, Spivakov says
“The art has many functions derived from the old days. Today, one function is predominant – harmony of the feelings and encouraging people and offering solace to them,” Russian prominent conductor Vladimir Spivakov told reporters at Komitas Museum-Institute. Spivakov is the honorary guest of the museum.
Director of the Museum–Institute Nikolay Kostandyan and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Aram Khachaturian International Competition accompanied the renowned conductor to tour the museum, familiarized with the history of the museum, and exhibits featured. Spivakov then made notes in the book for honorary guests.
The prominent guest noted he was impressed by the museum. “Wonderful exhibits and I have written a note that is necessary to preserve such a rise of human spirit. With all his life, activities, and dedication, Komitas serves an example for such an inspiration. We should serve to every matter. The Bible call us not to rule rather to serve,” the conductor concluded.
To note, Nikolay Kostandyan gifted a book and a CD of the voice of Komitas Vardapet to the guest.
