Iranian Ambassador concerned with maintaining the peace in the region
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran in Armenia Mr. Seyyed Kazem Sajjad and presented the situation around Nagorno Karabakh, the recent steps by Azerbaijan aimed at provoking new aggressive and military actions.
According to the press release of the Defense Ministry, Ambassador Seyyed Kazem Sajjad expressed concern over the occurred situation and confirmed his readiness to exert every effort toward maintaining peace and stability.
Among other topics, the Ambassador highlighted the bilateral cooperation in the defense sphere between Armenia, Iran.
RA Defense Minister informed the Iranian Ambassador about the defense cooperation framework reached in Moscow during the meeting with his Iranian counterpart. The Minister expressed confidence those agreements will be realized soon.
