Library collection amounts to 19.1 million copies in Armenia, NSS reports
According to data provided by 830 Armenian libraries, the library collection amounted to more than 19.1 million copies in 2015, reports the National Statistics Service of Armenia.
In 2015, 3 republican and 827 public libraries operated in the country. Public libraries include 10 central provincial, 49 central territorial, 83 city, 659 village and 26 children’s libraries.
In general, 507.000 people attended Armenian libraries in 2015.
2247 people, including 2147 women worked in the libraries.
