Iran blames Russian company for the 2009 crash of Tehran-Yerevan fly
Seven years later after the crash of Tu-154M Tehran-Yerevan fly with 168 people on board, Iranian authorities announced the crash is to blame for Russian company, which designed the and operated the plan, Iranian Irib agency reports.
According to the source, t Tehran Prosecutor’s office representative Gazi Shahriari said on May 10 that the results of a Commission to investigate the causes of the crash indicate that the reason of the crash was the problems in the valve of the compressor pressure, and the responsibility lies with the Russian company-the designer.
The Iranian official added that the commission will investigate the case of negligence of the former management of the airline in the acquisition and operation of the aircraft.
To remind, Tu-154M Iranian Caspian Airlines carrying out flight Tehran-Yerevan crashed on July 16, 2009 near the Iranian city Qazvin. All on Board 168 persons and 15 crewmembers among them died.
