Lavrov, Kerry discuss Nagorno Karabakh settlement
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in a telephone conversation held on May 9, Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
According to the release, the two ministers focused on the Syrian conflict highlighting the need for a strict adherence to the ceasefire regime and the UN mediated negotiations between the Syrian government and the opposition groups.
“The two top diplomats looked into other topical international issues, including the Nagorno Karabakh issue and the OSCE Minsk Group possible steps at the current stage,” reads the statement.
