Prime Minister comments on much-circulated ban of Turkish import
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan says the ban on import of the Turkish products is not on the government agenda. Abrahamyan comments came at a press briefing with reporters on May 11.
“We remain consistent in monitoring the food and other goods at the border, competent bodies implement quality checks and we have no targeted aims,” Abrahamyan said when asked to present the government position about suggestions over banning the Turkish import.
Asked whether there are any reasons to restrict the Turkish import out of political considerations, Prime Minister noted: “The cabinet has not issued any statement on that so far.”
