Eurovision 2016: Iveta Mukuchyan comments on raising the Artsakh flag
Armenian representative of the Eurovision 2016 Song Contest, who entered the Grand Final after the voting result of the Semi Final, gave a press conference. Armenian singer was asked what was the reason for raising the Nagorno Karabakh Republic flag in the Green Room after the performance.
Iveta Mukuchyan first thanked for the question and added she actually expected that.
“You do not forget that I am representing my country and my thoughts, my heart my feelings, and the whole emotions are with my motherland. All I want to call out, to spread is just peace on borders. Armenia wants peace, and that is why I wrote the song Lovewave, and all I want is to spread the lovewave - the reason I put the flag up and I really wanted people to concentrate on peace,” Mukuchyan concluded, under thunderous applause.
