Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia met with Minister of State for European Affairs of France
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who pays a working visit to Paris, met Minister of State for European Affairs of France Harlem Désir, reports information and public relations department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
According to the source, during the meeting, steps towards stabilization of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and resumption of peaceful process were reflected on. In this context, the sides stressed that the main purpose of the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, proposed by the Co-Chair countries, is consolidation of ceasefire, established under 1994 agreement, implementation of confidence building measures for creation of appropriate conditions to resume the negotiations.
Minister Nalbandian and Minister of State Harlem Désir discussed Armenia-European Union relations, as well as the ongoing negotiation process over formation of new legal framework between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.
Minister Nalbandian attached importance to the launch of dialogue on visa liberalization, based on existing achievements, Armenia’s participation in different EU sectoral projects.
At the meeting, thoughts were exchanged over a range of pressing issues on international and regional agenda.
