Serviceman Hovhannes Poghosyan wonded in Artsakh underwent surgery, he is in critical condition, Zorik Saghyan says
Serviceman Hovhannes Poghosyan who has been wounded in Artsakh is in extremely critical condition, Head of Stepanakert Central Military Hospital, Zorik Saghyan told Panorama.am.
Saghyan said that the serviceman underwent surgery and is in the intensive care unit. Hovhannes Poghosyan, 21 was wounded on the brain.
“The soldier will be moved to Yerevan when his condition improves,” Saghyan said.
To remind, from afternoon May 13 till the night of May 14 tensions maintained on the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, NKR Defense Army reports.
According to the source, the adversary continued violating the arrangement to cease the fire using 60 mm (53 shells), 82 mm (142 shells) mortars, AGS-17 (30 shells), RPG-7 type (2 shells) grenade launchers as well as ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft auto cannon (30 shots).
In the result of the Azerbaijani violation of the ceasefire arrangement, Karabakh servicemen Hovhannes Eduard Poghosyan, 1995, received gunshot wound in the combat position of the Defense Army military unit located in northern direction.
NKR defense Army Advanced Detachment took up retaliatory actions and suppressed the adversary’s activity.
