“I haven’t seen such an alarming report,” said President of the Association for ‘Sustainable Human Development’ NGO, member of the Public Council, public figure, Karine Danielyan during a press conference addressing the UN European Forum for Sustainable Development in Geneva.

Danielyan noted that only 4 international and 4 national NGOs attended the event.

“Compared with the previous year the number of disasters doubled this year, and the indifference is surprising. We’ve brought our planet to a limit, from where we’re unlikely to go back. Previously, when we were warning about the critical ecological situation, they mocked us, yet now this report shows the real situation,” she said.

According to Karine Danielyan, during the forum, everyone was saying how actively their Parliaments are involved in this matter.

“Our National Assembly stands aside of these problems, we don’t realize the importance of it all,” she added.
