Second conference of Eurasian Association of Therapists kicks off in Yerevan
“The conference is of utmost importance for us and we welcome such events, which serve as an exchange of experiences,” RA Minister of Healthcare Armen Muradyan told reporters after the opening of the Second Conference of Eurasian Association of Therapists held in Yerevan on May 19.
The minister next highlighted that the events provide an opportunity to work out educational programs.
“This scientific conference will be assigned 15 credits by RA Healthcare Ministry Accreditation center. According to relative provisions of the Law on Continuous professional development by 2021 physicians will have the right to treat only when they collect the necessary amount of the credits assigned. Continuous development implies involvement in educational programs as well,” the minister noted.
He informed that 80 specialists have arrived in Armenia to partake in the event which is organized by the Ministries of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia, the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, Armenian Association of Young Doctors and Cooperation Council in Healthcare sector of CIS states.
“18 renowned professors are among the participants who will come up with reports to enrich our experience, and our specialists are due to present their own experience as well,” Muradyan noted.
The international conference is accredited and the participants are expected to assign continuous professional development (CPD) credits.
The Eurasian Association of Therapists is a not-for-profit organization established in 2013. The major objective of the organization is to unite efforts to address topical issues in healthcare. The Eurasian Association of Therapists publishes the Eurasian Journal of Internal Medicine.
