Davit Harutyunyan not excluding merger of state bodies
Chief of RA Government Staff, Davit Harutyunyan recommended not expecting rapid actions in response to a question what should follow government optimization. Harutyunyan’s comments came at a press briefing with reporters after the cabinet meeting.
To Harutyunyan, the priority is to review the competences of the state bodies and reduction of their number. At the same time he ensured the reduction of the number of the state bodies does not imply dismissal of the staff.
“State bodies may merge although we have no task of either their occasional consolidation or splitting. The main idea is the authorization and discharge of the government activity. We are focused on these two issues,” Harutyunyan added.
