Artsakh children recovering from injuries in rocket artillery attack
Vardan Andreasyan, 12, and Gevorg Grigoryan, 11, wounded as a result of missile artillery attack from MM-21 Grad used by Azerbaijani forces on April 2 are recovering.
“Doctors say I am in good condition. I hope for the better. I will recover, grow up to become a soldier and take revenge for my friends Vagharshak and Gevorg. They are not able to frighten us,” Vardan told Panorama.am.
Even in bed he was in military shirt in a sign of longing for his military father.
The wounded children recall the details of the incident. Vardan Andreasyan’s mother told the child is gradually overcoming the fear and is even ready to go back to school.
The children’s mothers told that during the night preceding the incident enemy drones were monitoring the area, probably taking photos. Children used to do physical exercises in the mornings before the classes started.
“All children would suffer injuries in case the attack came 10 minutes later,” Vardan’s mother told.
Gevorg recalled that Vardan’s mother and brother were the ones who provided first assistance
“I was operated on in Martuni, then moved to Stepanakert hospital. I spent there a month and now I feel good,” he said.
To remind, His brother Vaghinak (Vagharshak) Grigoryan, born in 2004, was killed as a result of missile artillery attack.
