Competing against tankmen with 30-40 years of experience
“During the World Championship Tank Biathlon 2014, we showed the world what Armenian solders are capable of,” vice-champion of the competition, Jura Darbinyan told Panorama.am at Sardarapat Battle Memorial Complex.
To remind, the Armenian team won second prize during the World Tank Biathlon 2014 organized at Alabino, in the Moscow Region. The Armenian team was awarded with a T-90S tank, which was transported to Armenia on April 27, 2016.
“We’ve been competing against tankmen with 30-40 years of experience. Back then we were just regular soldiers. We are thankful to our commanders, our marshals and generals who conveyed their skills to us in such a short period of time,” the vice-champion said.
He told that Azerbaijan was present during the competition as an audience. “Once again they realized the strength of the Armenian soldiers”.
