Residents of Armenian nursing home moved to church amid Aleppo missile attacks
Residents of Armenian Nursing home who previously took shelter at “Verzhine Kulpenkian” hospital had to move to St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Aleppo, Syria. The decision came amid the heavy shelling of Aleppo Armenian districts, Kandzasar newspaper reports, adding that was the third time the Armenian elderly had to change their place of residence escaping terrorist attacks.
The source writes that three years ago the elderly had to leave their place and took shelter at Kulpenkian hospital after the terrorist groups invaded Aleppo.
Over the past two days after an attack by militant opposition groups the Armenian populated Nor Kyugh district of Aleppo suffered significant damages - Kyulpenkian hospital located there as well.
According to the report, in the result of the latest missile attack, one worker of the nursing home was killed, others sustained injuries.
The Nursing home board members decided to move the residents to St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church out of security considerations.
