Number of tourists visiting Armenia increases by 8.6%
1 252 506 tourists visited Armenia during the first trimester of 2016, informs the National Statistic Service of Armenia.
According to the source, compared with 2015, the number increased by 8.6%.
Also compared with 2015, the outgoing tourist number increased by 5.9%.
According to reports provided by hotels, in January-March 2016, 32.2% of tourists visiting Armenia were from CIS, and 14.6% from EU countries.
The number of tourists from Iran increased by 35.3%. The number of tourists from Canada, Germany, Ukraine and Russia also increased.
