Greater parts of Martini, Martakert regions occupied by Azerbaijan will be returned, Shavarsh Kocharyan says
“An important process kicked off in Vienna which records that it is difficult, even impossible to register any progress unless confirmed ceasefire agreement and confidence building measures exist,” Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters after the session of the ruling Republican Party Executive Body.
Kocharyan was asked to comment on the criticism of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) voiced by the second president of Armenian and the former Commander-in Chief of the NKR Defense Army.
“First, I looked into those statements which contained no proposal of reviewing the relations with those structures. As to our position to both CSTO and EUU, you may judge from the president’s statements made at the recent summit held in Astana,” Kocharyan noted.
Asked how international diplomatic circles perceived statements that we have lost 800 hectares of territory and those are no significance, Kocharyan said: “Let us record that Azerbaijan has occupied greater parts of Martini and Martakert regions of Artsakh. Sooner or later those territories will be returned to the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.”
