Turkey’s parliament to release a joint declaration on Germany’s approval of the Armenian Genocide
Turkish ruling party AKP has submitted a proposal to release a joint declaration on Germany’s approval of the bill recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
As The Hurriyet Daily News reports, earlier Turkish main opposition parties – the Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) condemned the approval of the bill.
Meanwhile, Turkish Ambassador to Berlin Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu has been recalled to Ankara for consultations over the decision.
To remind, earlier today the Bundestag passed the resolution, recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
