Souvenir medallions for Olympic and Paralympic Games produced
The Brazilian mint has begun producing the souvenir medallions for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, ANOC press service reports.
The souvenir medallions symbolizing the Olympics are made of gold, silver, ‘golden bronze’ and bronze. The Olympic Torch medallion has been produced of 50 units (retails at 2500$) and weighs 17, 7 grams.
The ‘golden bronze’ (55$) and bronze medallions weigh 24 grams and overall have been produced of 8000 units.
The official opening ceremony of the Olympics will take place on August 5. From August 5 to 21 within 17 days 10.500 athletes from 205 countries of the world will compete for a collection of 306 medals. The Olympic Games will be held in 33 venues of four regions of Rio; Copacabana, Maracana, Deodoro and Bara.
At present Armenia has 27 Olympic qualifications.
