President Sargsyan visits Tigran Petrossian Chess House
Armenian President, President of the Chess Federation of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited today Tigran Petrossian Chess House to follow the games of seventh round of 16th European Senior Chess Championship, press department of the President’s Office reports.
To remind, the championship is played in two categories: Senior 50+ and Senior 65+. The Championship is played in 9 round according to Swiss System.
About 100 chess players from 18 states participate in the championship, including 10 grandmasters (GM), 10 international masters (IM), three female grandmasters, and international masters. The fifth world champion
Nona Gaprindashvili and legendary Armenian chess player Rafayel Vahanyan are among the participants of the Championship.
