The 2016 General Assembly of World Federation of International Music Competitions kicks off in Yerevan
The 60th General Assembly of the World Federation of International Music Competitions kicks off in Matenadaran on June 16.
As the press service of "Aram Khachaturian" Cultural Foundation reports, about 40 directors of prominent international musical competitions, art directors and representatives have visited Yerevan to discuss the achievements and challenges of the music in the current world.
On the same day, at 19:00, Gala-concert dedicated to the 60th General Assembly of the World Federation of International Music Competitions will be held at Aram Khachaturian concert hall. The State Youth Orchestra of Armenia will present a saturated concert program together with competition awardees Georgy Chaidze (piano), Barnabás Kelemen (violin), Katalin Kokas (Viola). Sergey Smbatyan is due to conduct the concert.
The 2016 General Assembly of the World Federation of International Music Competitions is held under the patronage of RA First Lady Rita Sargsyan at the invitation of the Aram Khachaturian International Competition Committee with the support of the RA Ministry of Culture.
