‘Koala’ Festival for Pregnant Women and Kids kicks off
‘Koala’ Festival aiming to help future mothers and young parents find solutions to primary questions on family planning, childbirth and upbringing kicks off in Yerevan on June 18.
Experts in the field of obstetrics/pediatrics, diet/nutrition, dentistry, psychology, etc. volunteer in the festival to provide parents and participants with their advice.
The partner of the festival is UNICEF, which will provide information about childcare during the event.
“We decided to join this festival, as UNICEF encourages the health of pregnant women and children. During the festival, we’ll provide young mothers and pregnant women with literature about the importance of feeding and especially breastfeeding, as well as additional food recipes will be given,” UNICEF representative, Hasmik Aleksanyan told Panorama.am.
Founder of ‘Indigo’ children’s club, Irina Pahlevanyan said that they intend on keeping in touch with the participants in order to make this an annual event.
‘Koala’ Festival for Pregnant Women and Kids will be held on June 18-19 at the RA Union of Artists building.
