Charles Aznavour and Ara Malikyan to perform in Barcelona
French-Armenian prominent singer Charles Aznavour will give a concert in Barcelona on June 25, Facebook page of the singer reports in a post. According to the source, the singer’s concert will be performed in the frames of the Festival Jardins de Pedralbes.
According to the official website of the festival, it kicked off on June 11 and will last until July 16.
On another note, the source reports, that on June 30 Lebanon-Armenian musician Ara Malikyan is due to perform. He currently lives in Madrid and used to perform on different world stages accompanied by prestigious choirs and conductors.
Violinist Ara Malikyan has performed more than 400 concerts throughout Spain over the 15 years of his career.
As to Charles Aznavour, the festival website quotes the Times paper considering him as the biggest and the oldest living singer and songwriter; he´s turning 92 in May. “He has an impressive background of a 70 years career, 1,200 songs as a composer, more than 100 million records sold and he also has appeared in one hundred movies. A monumental work that made him become “one of the most important artists of the 20th century, ” writes the source.
