Buyers of Ramazzotti cancelled concert to file an appeal to the court
The concert by famous Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti was to be held in Yerevan on April 26, 2016. Later the concert was cancelled, while the losses of those who had bought the tickets have not been compensated so far.
First, Forpostart Production, organizer of Ramazzotti Yerevan concert, announced that the compensation for the sold ticked will be paid back starting May 26. The deadline was then was extended until September.
Gayane Demirchyan, one of the buyers of the concert ticket is a lawyer by profession. She paid 60 thousand AMD for four tickets and now is about to prepare the necessary documents to submit a complaint to the court. She calls on all citizens who suffered financial damage to file a joint appeal against the organizer to demand compensation.
Babken Pipoyan, Chairman at “Well-Informed and Protected Consumer” NGO, expressed hope the justice system will take the consumers’ side in this question.
“The law is univocally sides with the consumer,” Pipoyan stressed.
