Nadiya Savchenko favours removing sanctions on Russia
In an interview with the Deutsche Welle, Member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Nadiya Savchenko said she favours removing sanctions on Russia.
“I think that sanctions should be more specifically directed toward individuals. Those who are behind what is happening should get what they deserve. It would also be desirable if the economic sanctions were eventually lifted when certain criteria are met,” she said.
According to Savchenko, the sanctions harm the peaceful residents of Russia, as well as Ukraine and Europe. “I am not of the opinion that we should rush into a third World War. Europe must speak to Russia in a civilized tone, both politically and economically”.
