Tigran Mansuryan to preside over Golden Apricot Film Festival Jury
Prominent Armenian composer Tigran Mansuryan will head the Jury of the 13th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival, Golden Apricot’s Founder-Director Harutyun Khachatryan told.
“He barely agreed, considering he had refused to preside over the Jury Board. I am very glad,” Khachatryan said.
To his words, many individuals live in Armenia whom the world should recognize. Golden Apricot film festival serves as the platform that introduces many names to the world. Tigran Mansuryan is the artist, citizen and the Armenian, worth of acknowledgement throughout the world,” founder-director of the festival noted.
To remind, this year the festival is scheduled to be held from July 10-17 and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The mission of the Golden Apricot is to highlight Yerevan as an international cultural and cinematographic center.
During the festival 43 films out of 900 submissions will be competing in the three main competition sections: International Feature Competition (12 films), International Documentary Competition (15 films) and Armenian Panorama National Competition (16 films).The geography of the competing films includes 37 countries
