Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss in Baku the issue of expanding Andrzej Kasprzyk’s Office
“I am more a foreign minister than a prophet to predict what outcome the negotiations and meetings may have in Baku,” Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Foreign Minister of Germany and the OSCE Chairperson-in-office half-jokingly stated during the press conference with Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan.
“I can only state that what occurred in the beginning of this year, should never repeat. We should find opportunities for security, new edges to continue the negotiations. Only based on that, we may consolidate the ceasefire agreement and expand Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk’s Office,” Steinmeier said.
The OSCE Chairperson-in-office informed those are the issues to be discussed during his upcoming visit to Baku.
To remind, the agreement on expanding the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (PR CiO) was reached at the summit of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna on May 16.
