New Lexus GX for a minister amid announced plans for reduction of service cars
Davit Lokyan, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Development will be provided a new state car Lexus GX. The decision was approved at the cabinet session held today.
Chief of Staff of the RA Government, Davit Harutyunyan justified the decision by the specifics of the minister’s portfolio, suggesting Minister Lokyan “needs a vehicle of high degree passability” for his constant visits to Armenia’s marzes.
The decision came against the backdrop of Armenia’s government announced optimization on budget expenses, including the reduction of state cars. During the cabinet session held on May 19, Davit Harutyunyan stated about the instructions given by the Prime Minister about the reduction of service cars, suggesting 797 cars funded from the state budget to be gradually cut down
