Sona Poghosyan finished 5th at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships
At the Junior World Weightlifting Championships underway in Georgia Armenia’s Sona Poghosyan has finished 5th, National Olympic Committee of Armenia reports.
In the 65kg weight class competition Poghosyan lifted 93 kg in the snatch and 112 kg – in the clean and jerk. With a total of 205 kg, Sona Poghosyan finished 5th.
To remind, The Georgian capital city of Tbilisi is hosting the 2016 IWF Junior World Championships from June 23 to July 2.
Armenia’s athletes Zhorzh Yeghikyan (77kg), Davit Hovhannisyan (77kg), Samvel Gasparyan (94kg) and Simon Martirosyan (+105kg), Arpine Dalalyan continue the fight for medals.
