Lavrov, Steinmeier discuss Karabakh conflict settlement
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed [in a telephone conversation] with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, promotion of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the light of Steinmeier's recent visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday, Sputnik News reports.
It is also noted that the ministers discussed certain aspects of Russian-German relations and exchanged opinions on key international issues. Special attention was given to work in the Normandy format on implementing the Minsk accords and on ways of overcoming the Ukrainian crisis.
To remind, Mr. Steinmeier visited Armenia on June 29-30. He also visited Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Russian MFA also informed that Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov will visit Armenia on July 4.
