EEU member states’ meeting in Omsk
Russian President’s Administration confirmed that a multilateral meeting of the presidents of five EEU member states will be held in 2018 in Siberia. The meeting will be held within the framework of events organized to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Omsk city.
According to Russian news agency , Russia will hold the presidency of EEU next year.
“The meeting of presidents of Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kirgizstan in Omsk is the evidence of the great trust towards Omsk region. Indeed, serious work is required for holding such an important event but it will boost the development of the city,” Omsk region governor, Viktor Nazarov said.
According to him, the city should develop into a major transportation and logistics hub.
