In terms of provision of services, as well as identification of pricing dumping possibilities in the sphere of aviation, Armenia needs serious revision, Minister of Economy of Armenia, Artsvik Minasyan said during a briefing, commenting on the pricing system of civil aviation, particularly the increase in ticket prices.

“Aviation pricing system is worrying as it’s not a long time that the Ministry of Economy has signed for this function. We’re carrying out works on strengthening the capacity, also implementing a better research of the system. This should be an issue for consideration for both the Ministry of Economy and the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition,” Mr. Minasyan noted adding that they’ve already initiated such discussions.

According to the Minister, other countries are also facing the aviation pricing problem. “Even in developed countries, there is the hidden dumping threat, which results in violation of customer rights or disruption of competition in the market”.
