Color Run 2016 held in Yerevan
Today, in the morning, the Color Run 2016 kicked off from the area adjacent to Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. The event is organized within the frames of the «Run Armenia» initiative, sponsored by Ameriabank.
Color run Yerevan 2016 is an event of international format, held in different states - Russia, the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China and elsewhere.
The race was first launched in Yerevan in 2015 and has not only a sport component, but also entertainment, since runners are showered with colored powder, made of ecologically clean material.
One of the aims of the event is promoting healthy lifestyle among Yerevan residents and, particularly, the youth through popularizing the race culture and the mass sport.
The revenue received from the run will be donated to meet the residential needs of Gyumri homeless families.
Although the race is non competitive, the first three boys and girls will be awarded for crossing the finishing line first.
