Screening of Sarik Andreasyan’s “Earthquake” in Gyumri
Closed screening of Russian-based Armenian director Sarik Andreasyan’s “Earthquake” is planned on July 25 in Gyumri, Armenia, the director writes on his Facebook page .
“The closed screening of the Armenian version of the film will be held on July 25 in Gyumri. It is very important for us to have the blessing of the residents of this wonderful and great city. A city, where I’ve had the chance to shoot this movie,” the director writes.
The movie will premiere in theatres in December.
“We’re waiting for the movie’s release. We’ve made so much effort for shooting the it. I hope many people will watch it,” producer Ruben Dishdishyan said.
Screenwriters are Sergey Yudakov, Aleksey Gravitskiy and Arsen Danielyan.
The cast includes Konstantin Lavronenko, Mariya Mironova, Artyom Bystrov, Hrant Tokhatyan, Irina Bezrukova, Michael Poghosian, Sos Janibekyan and others.
The movie tells about the devastating Spitak earthquake of December 7th, 1988. The story is set in Leninakan. Konstantin Berezhnoy, a 50-year-old Russian, and Robert Melkonyan, a 28-year-old Armenian, work together to rescue the desperate survivors.
