Military night vision devices and thermographic cameras to be produced in Armenia
Today, July 14, during the Government session, “Unicum Engineering” was granted operator’s permit for working in the fields of electronics and precision engineering within the territory of “RAO Mars” CJSC of “Alliance” free economic zone.
Minister of Economy of Armenia, Artsvik Minasyan noted that the company intends producing military night vision devices and thermographic cameras.
In the second year of the project, in 2017, it is already planned that the exports will amount to USD 5 million, in the fifth year – UDS 12 million. During the first year of the project, it is expected to produce and export about 1000 devices, further reaching 5500. The main export destination will be Russia.
During the 5 years of the implementation of the project, the investments will amount over USD 31 million. Ten new jobs will be created during the first year with an average salary of AMD 150 thousand. In the fifth year, there will be 35 jobs with the average salary of AMD 350 thousand.
“Citronix-Armenia” CJSC will provide about 460 square meters territory and the necessary infrastructures for the realization of the project.
