Public Council of Armenia: Mutual resolve needed to end the situation through negotiations
The Public Council of Armenia held an extraordinary private session on July 19 devoted to the situation emerged after the armed attack at RA patrol police regiment as well as the discussion of elaborating the ways to resolve the standoff peacefully.
As the press service of the Public Council reports, Council members were univocal that the mutual resolve is needed to solve the situation through negotiations and dialogue, which is the best option to reduce the negative consequences of the standoff.
The Public Council expresses readiness to provide whatever assistance in helping the state and the public to overcome the strained situation without any turmoil.
To the Public Council of Armenia, the settlement of the situation should be followed by a comprehensive dialogue between the authorities and different layers of the society over the challenges Armenia faces, in particular the Karabakh issue.
